The Insulation Survey
Both the loft and cavity walls will require a survey prior to installation. This will determine the suitability of the property for insulation measures. This FREE no-obligation survey typically takes around 20 to 30 minutes.
Loft Insulation
The following points are checked during a loft survey:
- Depth of insulation required.
- Area of insulation required.
- Length of pipework to be lagged.
- Number of cold water tanks to be insulated.
- Position of the hatch relative to tanks and pipes.
- Ventilation is adequate.
- No damp is present.
Cavity Wall Insulation
The following points are checked during a cavity wall survey:
- Width of the cavity.
- Area of insulation required.
- Type of structure.
- Services through the cavity.
- The cavity is free of debris.
- The damp course is not defective.
- The cavity tops are sealed.
- Condition of the structure.
- Ventilation is adequate.
- No damp is present.
