OVER 70s INSULATION

There are several different grants available for Loft, Cavity Wall and External Wall Insulation for those aged 70 or above. Please visit our main insulation pages for more details.

The grants are part of the Government's Energy Company Obligation (ECO). This scheme was created to reduce carbon emissions in domestic households in fuel poverty and for properties classed as hard-to-treat.

Even if you do not qualify for an ECO Grant, EnergyLink can still arrange a free survey and quotation from an accredited local installer.

Over 70s Criteria

As with all ECO Grants, the main criteria is that you own the property or rent from a private landlord. Your Loft and walls must also be suitable e.g. there should be no damp or access problems.

Our online form will tell you whether or not you are likely to qualify. Please note that you will not automatically qualify for a grant purely because of your age, as was the case with previous schemes.

OUR GRANTS ARE FOR:
  • Homeowners aged 70 and above.
  • Private tenants aged 70 or over
  • Loft Insulation installed on loft floor.
  • Cavity Insulation blown in between bricks.
  • External Insulation applied to outside.
  • Products fitted by approved installers.

How It Works

Simply complete our online application form. Providing you are entitled to a grant, one of our approved installers will carry out a free, no-obligation survey. The surveyor will verify the suitability of your property and confirm your entitlement to a grant. The installer will then complete the work and claim the grant afterwards on your behalf.
